Everything motorized that I own needs my attention right now, and nothing is running right and it is pissing me off! I am in the middle of a home restoration, I don't have time to replace the chain on the snowblower in time for winter or get the quad new tires for some fall mudding, or winterize the jetski before it goes to storage or put new brakes on the Rondo or replace the bearings on the MR2 or fix the parts that Crutchfield said would fit but didn't or get the V-Star inspected or add accessories to the Soul or get the lawnmower running right or arrrrggghhhh!!!!!

OK, I feel better now. Back to work.

There are 5 driver-type cars in our fleet. 4 of them need something done to them - brakes, exhaust, oil leak, something. There's just no time if I want to relax at all, which I do. And forget about washing and waxing and vacuuming them all.

Same boat here... wife's car needs to be inspected, snow-thrower needs a new carb, the 911's shifter can't find reverse because of a wee little clip that popped and I can't fix it as the race car is using all 4 jack stands and the jack right now... because I need to get it ready for the last race of the season, the truck needs an oil/diffs/xfer case change and THERE IS ANOTHER GODDAMN LITTLE LEAGUE FALLBALL GAME TODAY SO NOTHING WILL GET DONE.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHhhhhhhhgghghghghghghg!

We've been borrowing Mom's '03 Mini since November, as wife's Camaro has been sitting, waiting for me to replace clutch ass'y, steering rack and water pump. I got the clutch nearly done, but have no freaking time to finish it because if I'm not working seven days a week, I've been down with a back injury.

Last Tuesday, the Mini decided to puke the body control module. That means no windows, no locks, no turn signals, no HVAC, dash lights remaining on. Fortunately, Mom is footing the bill to get it fixed at the dealer, and it's mother berkeleying expensive.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

I feel your pain. Taurus needs a tire, and possibly needs to be sold. MINI needs tires/inspection before winter to make sure it's ready. Ms3 needs the front swaybar mounts redid, probably endlinks, tuning, and winterizing. Prizm needs brakes. mx6 needs electrical, and to fix the sunroof so it isn't a pile of ice and fail inside of it all winter.

mpv crank sensor seems to be acting up and also a trans solenoid.

focus needs an alternator, and likely a battery, in the middle of taking out alternator, its unbolted and still have not been able to break it loose. and after a little googling, i found i need to remove trans mount and motor mount to shift motor 2 inches up and 1 inch foward just to get the damn thing out. i have so much hate for this car. registration expired 2 weeks ago.

grand marquis has safety inspection due in 2 weeks and an abs light on. I am hoping its just abs sensors that need cleaning but havent had time to look at it yet.

my accent is fine. but registration expires in 2 weeks.

deck needs cleaning and sealing, my renovation of 1 room has been halfway done for months it seems, stalled mid-tearing it down, driveway needs to be sealed, half the yard is dirt not grass....

my wedding is in 8 days. at least something is going right!

Let's see. Soon time to put the lawn mower away and get the snow blower out. It needs a couple auger bearings replaced, weld new "shoes' on the skids, fix a hole in the belt cover. Probably should change the oil. Need to find wheels for the Fiesta to put the Blizzaks on. Having a new roof installed, need to figure on how to pay for it. Everything els is good.

I forgot how much wiring auxiliary fogs CORRECTLY sucked until last night.

On the plus side, they're REALLY bright. Brighter than my headlights.

On the down side, i still have to extend some wires and attempt to make the install look pretty. BLAH.

I helped myself a little the other day after making two trips to the store for the lawnmower (1st to get gas for it, then to get oil for it), dorking around with it for awhile to get it to run right, and then spending 10mins to get the stupid weedwacker to start. For what the small engine shop wanted to charge me to go over and fix both of them, I went to Home Depot/Lowe's and bought a Fiskars reel mower (http://www2.fiskars.com/Products/Yard-and-Garden/Reel-Mowers) and a Ryobi electric weedwacker that also does edges. Now I only have three engines to deal with and that is a reasonable amount. HTH, I feel your pain.

Grounds for lights, ground for switch, power source for switch, signal output for switch... and somehow do this in a way that doesn't look like a hack job with wires everywhere. BLAH.

In reply to pinchvalve:

It's funny in a not so funny way that we (or at least I) seem to go through these periods where everything seems to happen at the same time. Like you, I'm going through that right now. We're in the middle of remodelling our kitchen. The drier decides to take a crap. That's okay, I have another one in the basement! Except it's gas and needs a line run to it. Do that. Two days later it take a crap. The blower in my wife's car just quit. My car has had half the interior out of it for 4 months now - no time to put it back together. Oh, and the A/C broke. We had a storm a few weeks ago and two trees came down, doing a bunch of damage. My truck is suddenly having electrical gremlins, and my tractor has an electrical draw that keeps draining the battery dead. My lawn mower quit, and so did my trimmer. The drain in my boy's bathroom clogged up and I ended up having to take most of it apart just to get it to work again. I took my Mustang to a local performance shop to have it converted to a 5 speed because I didn't have time to do it. I get it back not working and the shop manage just shrugs his shoulders. My Dad in the middle of all this, decides it's a good time to have me do some work on his car. I'm not feeling well. Somebody shoot me, please!

Apparently, nine years is considered old, for a Mini. There's no longer information on record, so that the fob can not be programmed to the new BCM.The old BCM is smoked, so they can't pull info from it. On top of that, I forgot to mention in earlier post that a headlight was out. Simple bulb replacement? NOOOOO! $600 dealing module. You don't want to know what the BCM cost. :(

Currently, as I type this, I have my Dakota "drivable", but it brake pulls like I got hit in front from the side. Wife's Avalanche needs 3 tires and front brakes, along with the water pump fixed. MIL's Impala is eating oil, needs 4 tires, and yet ANOTHER set of brakes. My riding mower just decided to crap the hydrostatic tranmission a few days ago. I had a weedeater. I really need to run a new brake line for my F250, but PFFFFTTTT. I never drive it, so it can sit some more.

Going to school 4 days and working the other 3 just doesn't leave time to crap. This is the first day "off" since school started and I have homework to do.

My wife would probably laugh if she read this thread, as she thinks I'll never be done with my projects and it's all self-inflicted. She's right, mostly.

I need to finish painting and prepping the control arms for the MR2, then install them. That's so I can get tires and an alignment at the same time. After that I still need to replace the leaky clutch master cyl, possibly the slave cyl, and the distributor seal that's leaking oil all over my exhaust manifold (mmmm, smells wonderful). Even then, I still need to fix my ac compressor clutch, as I picked up a used one for free from a friend. That's just the MR2.

The Integra needs a new thermostat before it gets cold out and I'm hoping a new O2 sensor(s) solve the check engine light problem. There's also a low idle on that car that'll need sorting at some point. CV boot is torn, maybe just going to wait for the joint to go out before I mess with that.

Then there's the cabinet handles that need to be put on, towel hangers that obviously need wall anchors, since they're halfway out of the wall already. SWMBO wants the fall decorations out of the attic and distributed appropriately, etc. Nothing that difficult in the house, but it adds up.

At least my lawnmower just got fixed.

Feel for ya! Today is my day off and I am just about done with the second car on the lift. First was a oil change and a ball joint. second is a muffler and cam position sensor. P71 suddenly lit up with a P0430 code, ABS and brake warning lights and the hubcap rattles!

Lawnmower broke its safety wire to the flippy handle thing, but with no rain in 70 days I have no lawn to mow!

For fun I have 1982 Honda Passport 70 that needs a carb rebuild!

I love motorized things too!
