So about four years ago i had a perfectly organized garage that parked two cars, I could get to all my tools, knew where everything was, life was good... then, the little lady moved in and life was still good, better even. but with two house holds worth of belongings crammed into one small house, things overflowed into the garage (mostly my things that were in the house, not sure how that happened, but im not complaining.) . lately, i couldnt recall that last time i could actually see most of the garage...

I just spent my fourth of my rare days off in the garage, and still have allot to go, BUT I can see the floor. Better, I can see what parts i have by looking on a shelf (i put in about 20 linear feet of shelving i got for free) instead of digging through a pile! Another day and i might even be able to pull a second vehicle in there!

And oh yeah, this is challenge car prep

just thought id share, its not exactly tajmagarage, but i figured allot on here are in the same boat... i mounted the boat to the ceiling by the way... still plenty of work to do, but im thrilled!

garage cleanup

the stuff in the middle will go in the shed, as soon as i build one. none of that floor was visible a few weeks ago...none.. and the left side is also lined with shelving, and a pc workstation that now works! on the down side, i think the garbage crew is pretty ticked off at me...

Nice. I just hope one day to have one, gravel driveways dont make the best work surfaces. But I do have a large shed If I feel like having a project bike

congrats!

I know my garbage guys can always tell when I am doing serious work to a car. Some weeks I do not even put my cans out as their is so little trash (especially if I am working a lot) but for some reasons the weeks I do a lot of work in the garage.. always equals a LOT of trash at the kerb on friday

they send a different crew out with a clamshell to do the heavy lifting (got rid of allot of bad wood, old cabinets and scrap,) so ill have to catch the truck crew and get em a six or something next time i see them in the neighborhood. they didnt even leave a divot in the grass, good crew!

i put a craigs list ad up for some old pc stuff i dug out while cleaning, and since i recall several here looking for old pcs with serial ports, ill list it up here. for you guys, i will ship, but it wont be quick. http://treasure.craigslist.org/sys/1593690251.html . i collect old pc parts and build systems, then donate them to the schools, but even this stuff is too old for that. and some of it i bought new way back in the pc stone age. if there are no takers soon, ill donate it to the local no kill shelter thrift store.

Did i mention the articles in grm about improving your garage were the actual inspiration? well that the the daily frustration of tripping over crap and having to tunnel my way to my tool boxes..
