It's 82 in the FROG where my desk is.
Last week, freezing rain, snow, earthquakes and the end of the world.
This week, 80s, sunny and I'm already tired of summmer. It's still berkeleying February!!!

We set three high temp records this week, around 89. I hate it. I feel bad for everyone up north right now but the 6 month summers are miserable here.

Hell is Ohio in August near the lake. Phoenix cant touch it for uncomfortableness.
80s is not hot.. 100s is hot. Once the mercury climbs into triple digits I think about turning on the aircon
Anything much over 80 and the A/C will be on at my house.
I slept with the windows open last night. Not too bad. It's in the 60s right now. If it would stay right there all year, I would be a happy camper.
Today we are headed back to the low 80s. Hopefully the house will hold the cool downstairs. The FROG gets cooked unfortunately.
80 is hot. Some of us start to whine and suffer when it gets into the high 70's. OK, maybe the 80's now, as I've gotten older.
And then there's humidity. To make it feel even worse.
7 more hours and I escape winter for a week. HEading South this afternoon. Caribbean here I come

Yep.
Ohio is the only state in the country that will hit 100° in the summer while having humidity.
It's that terrible time where it's not cold enough for heat but not warm enough for AC. The house keeps getting more and more humid. The doors swell and get hard to close. The cracks in my bathroom ceiling become more visible. Eventually we'll turn on the AC just to dry the damn place out. Still better than summer.

Is this sarcasm or have you never been to the east coast?
100 degrees and humidity only in ohio? i beg to differ.

and i had the windows down and the sunroof open while doing my rounds yesterday. mid 70's and still have some snow on the ground.

I thought it was obvious it was sarcasm.
I live in Oklahoma, otherwise known as the state that set records in 2012 for having the highest avg temp. July/August = 100-115° temps with plenty of humidity and only drops down to 85-87° by sunrise.
I was jabbing at him because everyone thinks they have the worst (insert weather/drivers/roads/corrupt politicians).

Got it... didn't know if you were being one of those people :)
here just outside of Houston... we turned our AC on a day or so ago... we planned to just open the windows because it's so nice out for the most part... but the humidity jumped and we had to get the a/c on just to combat it :-/
is what I know is i'm ready for spring... and come summer I've got some good lights for my bike so I can ride in the milder temps after the sun sets

Yep.
I'll be out running in shorts and a hoodie later today, as 45 degrees is summer at this point. We still have a solid 1.5' of snow on the ground.
Next couple of days will get rid of a lot of that, though.
Just a few weeks til that first 60 degree day...

I live along the ocean.. 100 degrees and 100% humidity is nothing new. We often had to put the bread in the oven (when we had one with a pilot light) to keep it from getting soggy and moldy.
Give me the heat.. and the humidity, I can easily deal with both. It's this cold E36 M3 that makes me hide away in the house
In reply to mad_machine:
I'm the opposite. I'd rather be cold. I'm insulated like this guy.
For some reason, the state of SC has laws about getting comfortable in the heat.
