With the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee announcements being made I checked to see if I could find a scan of the poster from my first Pearl Jam show 24 years ago. I was 12 and my friend Rob and I got a ride down on a Monday night to Richtie Collision on University of Maryland's campus. In looking for a poster, I found video of the full concert. My day has been made. (Sidenote: I was certain that Eddie was going to fall from the lighting to his death at one point; and they went and had beers at the Fe like regular guys afterwards, also 12 year olds can't hold their beer and drinking at such a age isn't recommended and catches up to you in a big way.)

Very cool. They were one of a handful of bands from that era who I'd say were truly great.
Man...now you got me trolling for Primus playing the Aragon in Chicago back in 96, my first show.
And I ended up finding video of a couple raves that I went to back when those were a thing. Man. What a trip. While I always feel annoyed at "that guy" that insists on recording the whole concert/show/festival, now that I've seen this I'll have to rethink that mindset. In 20-30 years when I'm feeling maudlin, he'll have been the one to provide just the right trip down memory lane.

I never video taped shows, but I worked at 9:30 Club and Recher Theater for awhile and have DATs from about 250 shows from the sound board. I'm scared to see if any tapes exist from Buzz back in the day.
Pearl Jam played at our school, too--the concert was held in the field next to my dorm. It's better than it sounds; B-52s played there once and just killed it.
To be honest, I didn't go. I didn't know who they were, and I'm guessing that I was seeing someone local that night. (We were spoiled.)
I was going to say that it was 1991 and, yep, the internet confirms that fact. Ah, the internet.
I use to have about 20 cassette tapes of the Buzz broadcast. Let me know if you find them. LOT'S of good stuff back then.

I've been to both of those venues numerous times!
On a related note- have any of you attempted to re-mix the sound so that it sound better?
6 months ago, I got a lot of good info for a recorded concert (thanks for the tips on the tools), and while it sounds good, I'd like it to sound better. I even have a reference to how is should sound. But doing searches on "re-mix to replicated studio recording" doesn't find me anything. And I'm not sure if there are good on-line classes about it.
Sorry about the tangent, but it is related.
Santa Fe Cafe FTW! Also the Cellar, the Attic (later the Paragon), and of course the Vous, and Town Hall, and even the Bastille if you're old enough.

If you've got They Might Be Giants at the Recher from about 1999 or 2000 (or so), I'd be interested in trading. I have a pretty good Morphine boot I could shoot your way.

I'll have to find my TMBG, I have 3 or 4 of their shows.
As for remixing, I haven't but shefield is a short drive away, I have 2 friends who work there that I could talk to about getting some time.

Cool! Thanks. We were at their first Recher date, sometime in the cold months around that circa. I remember Flansburgh going off about the cool fake fire lamps they used to have in the room.
