I'm an enthusiast of Chinese mechanical watches, which all of the watches in the first post are. Note that all of them can be found for about $100, so don't pay more.
Now that's real interesting, being so cheap.
Of the OP's watches, I also found the 1st to be the most attractive and readable, but like another said, I think you're going to be admiring arm hair, and find it not so nifty when actually on your wrist as a result.

I think they are all a little too busy or trying to hard, like a Russian church.
My watch tastes run along the "What looks like an Omega Speedmaster but costs $100". I wear a 35yr old TAG Professional 200m I got at a pawn shop somewhere in the 90s. I imagine this is of no help in your selection.
I'm right there with you.
I remember thinking Speedmasters and Mariners looked great - "right" - before I had any concept of the luxury/cost component.
They're like the 1968 Triumph Bonneville / 1962 250 GTO of watches.
(Says a guy who's going to Cleveland to drop money equivalent to a nice used GMT Mariner on a set of body molds for a 12 year old race car, and who owns one cheap functional watch)
