with all the automotive shenanigans that happen on my commute to and from work, it would be worth it for the grins alone.
Last night, going into work, I was heading into AC in the middle lane. I was 15 above the limit but even then, traffic was still moving faster than me. Less than a quarter mile up the road splits into two. The left lane goes north, the right lane goes straight, and the middle lane splits to go either way, hence my need to be in the middle so I can go North. Right after crossing the last bridge, two SUVs flew by my Disco, one on my right and one on left. I am going to guess they were doing an easy 65mph in heavy traffic. Both decided to take the middle lane. Yes, the collided, but only enough to lose their respective mirrors
So, one guy over-took you and the other guy under-took you. I blame it on the guy who under-took, but we fail to teach this in US driving.
yeah driving for Uber I should too. Matter of fact I have one but it's a rental so not sure if I should put it on there.
Best one is the HOV that has a 65 limit that merges right at the off ramp from a 45 limit. Exit 8C off 395. I saw the bloatasaurus coming hard so I held off making the exit for a moment. The smaller bloaty in front didn't but merged considerably further ahead. Kinda funny watching the bloatasaurus almost lift it's rear wheels off the ground avoiding what would have been a mammoth rear end collision.

I drive for Lyft on the side and I'm not surprised if dash cams are required in the future in case an incident happens behind the wheel.
Did we ever get a GRM consensus on the "one to get?"

I bought one for the Crosstrek, and likely getting the same for the Abarth. I keep thinking I should do a highlight reel weekly with my 26 mile commute on I-75 between Cincy and Dayton.
It was a recommended one from another thread early this year, I can find the Amazon link tonight.

Here is some recent GRM chatter on dash-cams including comments from Jerry on his purchase.
