I've noticed occasionally that some people can't see images I link. At other times I can't see images that other people link. I used to assume it was just a browser or ISP issue, but I think it's more than that.
In another thread this morning I couldn't see the images that the OP linked. I tried in Explorer (desk top), Chrome (Chrome desktop and iOS) and Safari (iOS), as well as trying at both work and home for the desktop browsers. For the iOS versions I tried both wireless (work and home) and via mobile data (ATT) and still no deal. No deal, I can't see those images at all. I posted that and another user said they couldn't see them either and had tried 'both computer (Win 10 w/ Chrome) or Android phone (Chrome)'. IF we're having that many issues across platforms and providers I think it's more than just a browser or ISP issue.
Anyone else?

I've noticed the issue, but only with your posts. You post them from your Google account, right? If so I think there is a permissions setting you can change to allow them to show up.

It's just been 914drivers stuff for me lately. I know others can see it because it's getting thumbed up, but I can't

The Jed, Focus thread
The first posting in the thread should have pictures. That posting is over two months old.
Do I remember there being a problem of posting pictures that are links for Facebook. I'm not sure if these are FB linked pictures but Jed comments that he bought the car on FB. Could it have just been the pictures form the now dead FB sale listing?
Someone has also mentioned that they couldn't see the pictures in my current Maxton thread. I was not able to reproduce the issue at my end.
I've noticed that photos shared from FB started disappearing in the last few weeks. Been trying to change out the photos with ones uploaded directly to GRM to fix my own threads.

Yeah, we've seen permissions issues with Facebook (not on our end). Not sure about Google Photos.
I'd recommend just uploading them directly—you can drag and drop or copy/paste.
Note that mine are linked from my own server, not FB or Google Photos and are using straight HTTP, not HTTPS.
As Tom mentioned, the easiest way is to just copy and paste pictures.
I don't know how long that has been supported, but I recently discovered it. Way easier then copy and inserting the link or downloading then uploading.
Facebook photos might be audience dependant on Facebook group/friend settings. What you can see on Facebook isn't what everybody else can see. For example, if I want to share something from my Facebook (which is Friends Only by default) I have to make the post and image public.
That carries through for some car forums, Google groups, etc.
Also, Ghostery, AdBlock and other add-ins can cause pictures not to load. I usually see if turning them off for a minute or two makes a difference.
For reference, turning that stuff off didn't help with Jed's focus thread.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Ex-Patrón) :
I wasn't able to see my own photos in my own threads from my own public FB album, so I don't think that was the problem in my instance.
Every image I post is uploaded directly to the GRM forum. I don't link anything.

It isn't easier for me to download every photo I want to use from my photo albums on facebook, find each one in my download folder, then load each one again in the thread every time I want to post a photo. Right click/copy image address/right click/paste image address
But it appears that is now what I will have to do.
I see (and enjoy) all of your Adrian, mine however may be from questionable sources .....
Some of Adrian's and some of BoxheadTim's do not show for me. Desk top, Google Chrome. Most do show up, it is a 10% thing.
