which seems like an OK deal to me but alas I am without funds for such a purchase.

I like the headlights, but something is not quite right with the wheels. I can think of worse ways to spend $10500
I agree that the wheels suck (might be like a camaro offset or the car appears to have been lowered).
the guy knows his potential market..why bother with putting boring things like engine, trans, or interior details or pics in the ad when the average person looking for that car only really cares how sexy the ladies will think the car is..
It's kind of high miles and jacked up looking rims to bring that much around here.... These cars are very common and rarely have that many miles.
Also. Telling scammers not to scam just makes their scam seem more legit.
Like the wheels, hate the headlights, not interested in pulling trim. berkeleying $10k? Seriously? Why the berkeley am I looking at TL's and TSX's?
I like the light and the wheels but Waaaayyy to many mile for that much money. And the guy sounds like a D-bag.
That's the same price a guy I talked to wanted for the decomposing syclone with expired registration and nasty paint that had sat in his driveway for years. I wouldn't want either one lol.
A couple years ago I helped a buddy sell his 6 speed 99 hard top with 99k miles. After about 5 months of barely any looks, he let it go for 11.5k. 10.5 seems high for that, looks to be at the bottom of the curve for the C5 vettes. How long until they become collectors?
Around here they tend to have half the miles and ask 5k more, at least. For Missouri this seems fair. Remember, if the motor goes boom, there are tons of cheap truck variants available.
Don't mind the look. I had a '99 that looked almost exactly like that, except it was silver. This one has a ton of miles on it for a Corvette. Not sure I'd want to pay that much.
Around here, the cheapest C5 for sale right now is a 2001 salvage-title, with a blown engine for 13k. So for me, that looks cheap.
In my experience, people don't react well to the "Price is Firm" approach. Buyers need the satisfaction of negotiating the price down just a little. Who wants to deal with a jerk who wants your money but who is too arrogant to even listen to an offer? "You want THIS car, I'll TELL you what you'll pay, punk."
In reply to chuckles:
The whole price it 3k over what you want out of it game on craigslist is annoying. I'd rather tell people to go berkeley themselves.

Based on the way C4s have gone... a long time. Unless GM really drops the ball on a future Corvette version.
Not many C5's for sale around here. Price does seem low-ish. Plenty of old vette's around....

True, it is a game. I just think there are more effective ways to play it. You want $10,500 and really think it's worth it? Ask $11,000. JMHO.
I got $21k for my C5 Z06 last year by saying, "I want $21k for this car." This seems like a good deal for a beater C5.

That's what I'm screamin'. Is 150k really a "ton" of miles? Seriously asking. I have no idea. Do they require a ton of routine maintenance or eat bearings at 160k or something?
For fun, what else can you get in that price range that offers similar performance?

For reference, the 180k Mustang I just bought is in amazing shape.
