My tap water tastes like straight up salt water today. I guess the filters at the water treatment plant don't catch salt (or they are overwhelmed ). I'm sure this will do wonders for all the old ageing pipes, installed in the late forties through the earlier sixties, by the lowest bidding contractors.
Man, do I ever need to move back to rural country.
No worries. The ice is so thick the fish all went south to find water.

I wish that I could follow them.
So why does your water taste like salt? I found this news story, is this what you're talking about? http://www.delcotimes.com/health/20150224/road-salt-blamed-for-briny-water-in-delco

Yep, that's it, good old Delaware County. Believe me when I tell you, they are grossly understating the problem.
On the bright side, your pipes wont freeze?
That's an interesting situation. I work in the water treatment industry and haven't heard of any treatment plants in my area (Minnesota) having problems with salt runoff from the roads.

Ya'll have city water.....how cute.
I remember our water in Upper Darby was always great tasting, even out of a hose. I dont think it helped any but we would swim in the reservoir every summer.
