I'd like to discuss something very, VERY seriously...

 I feel the original chart stroker found is one of those purposeful lies made in statistics, that writers use to get clicks. Outrage sells sadly, and these things are very purposeful- You're no fool for falling for it, we all do at some point.

I find this statement shocking.  There is plenty of infanticide today.  Today's modern society loves infanticide just as much if not more, it's just more well hidden today.  We aren't doing that great and you are giving government way too much trust.

The people you referenced have a religion just like you have a religion.  Show me your tirades against Islam, Buddhism, Taoists, or any other organized religion.  You are anti-Christian.  That's your religion.  That's another fact you aren't ready to admit too.  The world isn't really that complex once you realize the true reality of human nature.
