Narrow snow tires + all wheel drive + manually lockable diffs =
yeah. 265 wide tires + 4x4 + locking rear diff + traction control = i can put my foot down and launch and take off almost as quick in the snow and slush as i can on dry pavement. traction control off + big empty parking lot = giant 4 wheel drifts with a giggling 2 year old in the back seat.

my truck lacks the locking diff- or ABS.. or traction control.. or even an automatic trans- but it just moves and stops where and when i want it to when everything is covered in ice and/or snow..

I can't break traction with the diffs unlocked, but it's sketchy when driving on roads. If you catch the side of a rut the car just wants to nose in, and changing lanes is a white knuckle experience. I think it's because the rear tires are pushing the car along and the fronts aren't pulling as hard.
But lock the center diff and it's a totally different beast. Completely unflappable. It feels like I'm cheating
We shan't mention what happens when you lock the rear diff as well.
Drove an 03 Grand Cherokee with the np242 transfer case that we've been borrowing. Full time 4wd is fun and insane.
I still like our XJ with the np231 better, but 4wd on that is just for getting unstuck when E36 M3 goes bad in 2wd.

How do you do it on a newer computer?
Enquiring minds want to know!
GOG.com
Did you guys also know that someone rebuilt the graphics? Its called JDooM. It revamps the whole game.
Also, search for IDDQD on Google images. Hilarious

I sold my snow tires before I moved away from MN a couple months back. I was just up there last week for work, and had a Fiat 500 rental with whatever non-snow tires the factory put on it and I realized how spoiled I was driving the WRX with snow tires. Now I see why on snow days people all wanted to chat about their drive in. I would always just say mine was fun no matter how much new snow fell that day.
GoG.com is absolutely awesome. One note, stuff is always rotating on sale. Not that the prices are exactly high anyhow, but if you wait a while they'll likely be even better.
It seems like I have half their catalog at this point. I have an absolute beast of a gaming laptop, and yet I don't have a single game on it that's been made in this century. Pretty sure the old games made to run in DOS don't need the 32 GB of RAM...
