It's an interior space that is a closed room. A bird isn't out of the question though, as my office is connected to the garage and the garage door and rear man door were open most of yesterday while Christmas decorating was going on.
MrJoshua - Could it be a big it be an anole or something similar? Those do get in my office with regularity.

I'm thinking more likely small lizard (like an anole) than bird. I'd find similar lizard poop in the house sometimes when I lived in the Caribbean.

Well, no lizard poop here in RI, but this was in our yard ... bear poop. I'm proud of this pic because bears are rare here.
Either reptile or bird. Most likely reptile. The white part is their equivalent of urine. Had an iguana, a veiled chameleon & a leopard gecko as family members along with anoles and skinks in the garage in SC, so I've seen a lot of lizard poop.
Edit: Completely forgot the wild geckos that were always in my apartment in Okinawa. Even more lizard poop in my life! Also had several friends with snakes...
Notice the Northerners said bird, southerners said lizard? I'm not sure I've ever seen lizard poop, lol
