Retro done right IMO. If they could manage smaller wheels, it would look even better.

That is really nicely done, but I agree with the wheel statement. Also, get the thing up out of the weeds.
the 80's inspired paint doesn't hide the fact that the new trucks are just flat out fugly. even sitting on the ground, it looks like the average man wouldn't be able to easily reach over the bed side..
The new GM trucks are ugly. The GMC ones are better looking than the Chevy ones, and the paint is a nice touch, but it's still ugly. I'd rather just get an actual retro truck than get this one.
The new Dodge, err, Ram trucks though... YOWZA. I had the pleasure of driving a friend's 2014 Ram 1500 Express as a tow vehicle to and from the Challenge, and it is NICE. It looks great, has plenty of gadgets even in the mid-spec Express, is comfortable to drive, makes all the right sounds (his has a Hemi)and gets decent mileage. If I was in the market for a new half-ton, I would be buying one of those. No question.
Love the two tone paint. Don't like the wheels. A GM would be the only truck I would even consider buying. Make mine a GMC. Although, I like the new Chevy's front end better than the GMC.
The local chevy dealer has several trucks in the local mall. One of them stickers at close to 70grand (yikes!) and is so tall that standing next to it.. I have to look up to see into it.. and I am just under 6 foot
That's a very well done throwback. The slab sidedness of these new ones play back to the "squarebodies" well, and that two tone with 80's style trim and eggcrate work together well.
I like the tailgate alot too.
The wheels are probably the weakest part, but they're not deal breakers.
I think it would work a lot better if the base truck was more attractive to begin with. The grill doesn't work for me and the body line seems too tall. Smaller wheels would also be better I think
I love the two tone and like the new GM trucks a lot, but then again I have 6 square bodies in various configurations, so I dig the boxiness.
i think that people who use the R word to describe what they think is stupid may in fact be the mentally challenged ones themselves.
i have always loved 2 tone 73-87 and 88+ trucks, they seem to have done away with most of them by the early mid 90s though. i had a black/gold 88 and a brown/gold 89, i love it. but the new one above does not do it for me. maybe if it had more ride height, silver wheels with less diameter and more tire, and the big white filler between grill and bumper throws me off some.
I almost like it. The white is too brite, the chrome grill to blingy, and the wheels are too big. I'd like to see it with an off-white two tone, grill toned down, and the wheels smaller. Or just the two tone and regular truck wheels.
Going to look at a '14 Silverado LTZ 4X4 tomorrow. Bet some silver or charcoal would really set off the Deep Ruby paint but no two tone to be had. Heated leather ftw tho.

No go lower.
Those are, without a doubt, some of the ugliest wheels I have ever seen. If they are not #1, they are in the top 3 or 4.
Otherwise, yeah not bad. I agree two tone should make a comeback.
Besides the fugly wheels, it still has those terribly ugly and annoying squared off fenders. Two thumbs down from me.
