13.9 sec. 1/4 mile at 108 mph would seemingly indicate traction problems and or not the best driving. A 108 trap is very fast at 13.9. It must be a load of fun when rolling.
Ford builds a Focus in Europe that has a "variation" of the Volvo 5 cylinder that produces 300 hp. Of course, that particular model of Focus has a specially designed front suspension that is NOT used by any other model of Focus. Perhaps one of the most powerful FWD vehicles built by a major car company?

Cobalt SS? Mopar Shelbys?
Dont know the numbers off the top of my head, these were just stabs in the dark. But youre right, there sure arent too many ~300hp FWD factory stock out there...which is a shame

What about the LS4s used in the FWD Impala SSs? ~300hp/320tq
What?! Asking $4500?? Usually with Volvos like these the owners are asking $8000...
I kinda dig the yellow. I really want a rwd car tho.
The new Acura TL has over 300hp as well.
But back on subject, this Volvo is the E36 M3. I wish this dude in Louisville would stop dicking me around and buy the MX6. If he does, i'll be on my way to pick up the LOLVo immediately.

You're questioning whether 294whp would cause traction problems on an FWD car?

Anybody like the cadillac northstar? 280-300hp about 15 years ago.

No.
If the specs on the chip my T5-R can be believed, my 850 should be putting out 270HP and 305tq but that is not at the wheels and the 160k automatic doesn't help much either.
But it does pull nicely from a roll.

Heh, what shocks you about that? I have no brand loyalty. If shocks, awes, and amuses me, i want it. Utility or sensible-ness be damned.
That said, this car is a bit slower than the MX6. BUT IT'S YELLER!!!!
