On the way to work - hit a drive through for some java...as I'm pulling out, I get a big whiff of antifreeze and my first thought is "hmm, somebody's going to have a crappy day." Did I mention I drive a bmw e36? Ten seconds later I see a wisp of steam coming from under my hood. Crap, it's me. Temp gauge is good and there's an auto parts store 1/2 block away. Radiator upper hose connection snapped off - stupid plastic. Luckily there was enough left to get the hose back on. Had to buy a screwdriver and a gallon of antifreeze.
For full on irony, I ordered a new radiator last night.

Good thing you were able to stop. I lost the engine in my beater when the rad blew last fall. On a four-lane highway.

I have a nice tree sized dent in my bumper; a bumper with back up sensors.
This cliche exists for a reason - had the same thing happen to me a few months ago on my E36.

I hear you there - I have not one but two dents in the edge of my trunk from backing into my own garbage can in my 750Li with parking sensors.

Agreed. It was more than I had hoped for, honestly.
I thought you were going to say you went out on St Patricks day.
