It was -31*F this morning. Loves me working up north...
It was 60 degrees warmer here, and I was still muttering about it being berkeleying freezing; and it was literally freezing...
It was a balmy 37f when I got to work this morning with a brisk breeze blowing in off the harbor. It may be time to get out the winter uniform.

I do research and development for the Alberta government in conjunction with industry. Our work is very "real world" compared to "lab based". The group I work with specifically develops analyzer systems (we have expiremental equipment at all major oilsands sites, water treatment plants and pulp/paper mills).
I'm a fixxer, in that I seem to be doing a lot of damage control nowadays :p But my job consists of building, installing, comissioning, and maintaining our equipment, as well as running expirements when necessary. I don't do much design, I usually just yell at the engineers when they submit ideas that make no sense, as our group only consists of 30 people so its very personal.
At the end of the day, if a 75 foot long probe needs to be pulled with a big ass crane from the top of a 200 foot tall vessel, I'm the guy doing it ;)
Trucker buddy of mine posted a facebook photo of the thermometer on his semi in northern Alberta last night...-33*C. I lol'd. Its only -21 here.
70* and overcast here in Central Texas. Ask me again on Friday when we're supposed to get snow flurries and I'll be bitchin about it. LOL
It's cold at work and we are making snow. Um, yay. Only like 25f but damp which makes it feel worse. -31 totally stinks.
Everyone play along at home:
To type the degree mark.
First hold down the 'Alt' key,
Then type the numbers: 0176
and release the 'Alt' key.
About 70º here.
I'll be damned, I know how to make a degree sign now!
Just alt and then 0 did it for me. Cool.

Now I feel like an idiot for actually trying that. Does that work on some computers? It doesn't work on mine.
