It was a 1995 M3, with a euro engine transplant, big brakes and suspension upgrades. It was pretty cheap too.

I emailed the seller. It was emissions legal and registered in oregon, which is a obd plug in state with no referee options so it must have been well done. 85k on the chassis and 50k on the motor. The ad made it sound like a track only car- I thought it was a bargain at 7.5 asking. Oh well.
