Hey guys! I've been reading this forum for the past couple of years and wanted to introduce myself. I have been building a v8 Miata for the past 2 years and finally got it on the road a couple months ago. My dad and I also have a vw sandrail converted to autocross racer. I look forward to being a part of the community!

Haha I will follow up with a build thread. It was a "grassroots" effort but not budget. My dad and I built the car and I had a friend help me rebuild the engine as I had never done it before. It is a ford 5.0/t5 with ford 8.8 diff. We fabbed everything and didn't use any kit parts. I did try to do it the right way and started with a clean car so total budget is around 9k. It is running ms2 that I bought as a kit and assembled. So far everything is working well. Just have to figure out how to keep it cool!
