To be honest the difference between a 4.0 and a 2.5 wrangler are only noticeable on the highway at speed going up hill.
Off road and around town they will get the same mpg and have the same manners. sure the 6 is better, but not maintenance and history are more important in this price point.
I've looked occasionally for one of the mid-90's green Sahara's ...would be a great summer vehicle for the family.

My 91 Jeep shows hundreds. Two of them specifically. 252K and still kicking...
Also - on the top thing. You are DEFINITELY gonna want to ditch the hardtop come spring. If this is a daily driver, you'll want a soft top. If it's not though - you can get away just fine with only a Bikini. Just keep an eye on the weather forecast before you head out.
Well, I guess he might have sold his jeep with both tops, so I'll PM you or whatever when I find out if the bikini top is still for sale.
If you don't have to leave it outside at night I'd highly recommend the bikini top. It'll only keep you somewhat dry if it rains but takes about 1/100th of the time to install/remove as the soft top. Although my friend never takes his off in the summer, it allows fairly uninhibited airflow but keeps the sun off ya.

I'm a big fan of the full time bikini / no doors method. All the awesomeness of open motoring, none of the sunburn.
I used to take the roof and doors off in the summer, back when it was my only vehicle. When it rained, it wasn't that bad. You gotta do something about the carpet and seats soaking up stuff, and waterproofing the electronics, but the only thing about it that really sucked was when it rained on the inside of the windshield. No wipers there.

Not worth it.. Tooo many cheap jeeps out there, especially with low price TJ's on the market now.

The only good thing that I can see about that jeep is that the square headlight grill was destroyed.
