Is a year and a half long enough, to cull out the hidden Harvey flood damaged vehicles?
I'm thinking about buying a truck in the near future, and I've got friends there, that I'd visit in the process.

Houston vehicles usually have crazy mileage on them. Everything is really spread out, 25K to 30K a year is not unusual.
I would buy used from a southern city with shorter commutes.
We haven't flooded in a while, so you're probably as good as you can get. Purchases north of I-10 are less suspect than those to the south. We do drive a LOT down here.
I have steadfastly avoided buying from H town. My Craigslist searches sure turn up some tempting deals, but I've stayed in the DFW area to hopefully avoid getting bitten.
Heck, Most of the flood vehicles got shipped OUT of Houston and didn't stay there. Just look at frame rails when you pick it up for signs of flood damage. I wouldn't be worried honestly.
