Well, our town basketball court was seal coated nearly 3 years ago, and the lazy berkeleys wouldn't redo the court lines. So, myself and friends took it upon ourselves to get paint and actually do it. We just finished by vehicle headlights, and it isn't perfect, but its a E36 M3load better than before. Somehow one of the guys freehanded a rather unique center court marker........a Masonic all seeing eye. I will attempt to take pictures if I make it in tomorrow.
So, what says the hive mind, did we do a good thing defacing public property or a bad thing? If the center causes uproar, it can be painted over.
If nothing else, you're giving them incentive to cover it up. I used to write 15 or so years ago. When I moved to Gainesville and found a legal wall, it was heaven.
Technically, yes, in reality, not really. I once epoxied fake security cameras in my dorm elevators to keep drunk people from pissing, vomiting, and setting the emergency stop button on fire. Worked perfectly, then the dumbass RD removed them with a crowbar because she "couldn't watch them" In other words was concerned with catching drunk bros far more than lowering our damage bill. Needless to say, I don't feel bad about the berkeleyed up ceilings, nor when they started smashing the lights after it was announced they were fake in a floor meeting.

I would be somewhat sad if they covered it up, but its impressive when you can actually get a group of teenagers to actually sit down and do something to actually make our games better. I suppose you could say I taught them how to measure things, including semicircles using a measured length of rope and a swivel point under the hoop. We even had to improvise and calculate new measurements due to the court being 4" shorter than high school/NCAA length.
We had it measured and painted in just under an hour....out of bounds, lane, half court, free throw and 3 point lines. Used 3.5 cans of krylon road striping paint with a rolling wand applicator.
I'm sure someone will complain you improved it. No good deed goes unpunished.

All things considered, Gainesville is amazingly clean (for a town so full of dirty hippies ).
i don't know about the illuminati symbol at center court...
maybe this would be better:

the color you used is offensive to my Religion. this is blasphemy, and discrimination to my people.
For whatever reason, Gainesville is one of the cleanest towns in which I've spent any major time.
I'm an urban explorer. Take only pictures, leave only footprints, etc. That said, some "vandals" improve their surroundings. I've known of a good work of art that caused its creator to be punished, rewarded, copied, and then had his work stolen by the city for usage in promotional material. I even noticed a similar designed piece in a movie.
Don't expect it to stay like it is, but if it does get painted over, hope they don't just seal the whole lot again and not bother with lines.
Nice what you did, but illegal it was. Prosecute you they can.
Wait, wasn't this an episode of The Cosby Show?

Your religion and people can choke on a bag of dicks......just like how everyone at Hennessey Honda of Woodstock chokes on a bag of dicks everyday.
Foxtrapper, this isn't Maryland/NOVA.......they don't particularly act like idiots here.
