Years ago, I managed to bung up my left knee in a fall.  It has been painful on and off but I could live with it.  Over the past few months, it has gotten worse - much worse.  I went on a two mile walk on flat ground a few weeks ago and basically couldn't walk the next day.  Enough of that.

Saw the doc, who ordered an MRI, which was done a week ago.  I wasn't aware of this but apparently our hospital no longer has a radiologist on staff; everything is being sent out of the area.  Wherever they are sending them has a 3-4 week backlog.

I went down to the hospital and got a copy of my MRI on a disk, but it does me no good.  I have a referral to a knee guy south of us, but his office will not do the initial read of the MRI.

Is there any way for a patent to do an end run around this E36 M3 and get an MRI read?

Average pay is $448,000 in the USA.  I guess if a hospital is small it's a good job to outsource.

But Dang.
