A colleague sent me a link to her Syntek fuel treatment site. I wasn't sure if it was her or spam so I started googling and found this link.
Snake oil right? I can't find anything online to debunk their claims.
Anyone deal with this stuff before? I want to have proof when I decline her offers. It is a MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing) home based business. I'm thinking pyramid scheme.

Wow... that made my skin crawl just looking at it.
I don't know anything about the product, but I can vouch that few things in life are as miserable as when a friend or relative joins a MLM scheme. There should be a country song called "Amway Stole my Girlfriend". ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
1/4 oz per 20 gallons is about as pure BS as you can get. That E36 M3 won't even make it down the filler tube.

Exactly. I stunk up my whole shop from the BS emitted from my computer screen.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/unhappy-18.png)
Could be Bunk, I just like the term Asp Lube.
Tested here, watching it now:

Edit: NM, it's astroturf, guy who made the video works for the company who makes this stuff (he says he's just a "trustee and volunteer," yeah right)
So now I still don't know if it works and I trust them less now.
Fact is, you won't convince your friend that ferrocine isn't wonderfull. But, if you wish to try:

Ah makes me think of Amsoil. Seems like everyone that has something nice to say about it is a vendor for it.
I don't know, Its probably not any better or worse than other options, but seems to me its more of a pain in the ass to get and quite frankly it seems like a scam-ish buisiness model to me.
Ha I think some dbag was trying to peddle this to me at a gas station in San Diego. Told me I would get a whopping 4 miles more per TANK. And he said it with gusto too.
This is great news! I'm going to buy a case RIGHT NOW! I'm also going to get me one of those vortex air spinner dealies that go in my intake to swirl the air! And then I'm going to buy one of those magnet thingies that go on my fuel line to get the fuel molecules lined up so they burn better! When I'm done, my '85 Chevy truck will get such good mileage that the tank will actually overflow with fuel every time I drive it! I'll get rich selling the fuel back to the oil companies! Wheeee! ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

Don't forget the black box chip from eBay, and the paint stuff that you can set fire to your car after using, and the paint doesn't get damaged.
I've found lots more astroturfing but no proper tests of this stuff.
MIL got involved in a MLM scheme selling tablets that professed to do the same thing. There was a reason why the tablets smelled like mothballs-- that's what they were. There was a pastor and his wife arrested for developing that little scheme.
What was funny was that the math didn't work. Even if you got the increase in mileage they were touting, the cost of the tablets offset the cost savings on fuel!

Bad example. Amsoil is actually pretty decent stuff, and pretty widely used.

I can vouch for the quality of the product but not the system
