My son's 2015 Honda Civic EX was hit in the right rear quarter. These are the only pics he sent:
It was a low speed collision at an intersection, but it was a solid hit. It looks like all the damage is aft of the door, but the wheel sits crooked so there is suspension damage. He drove the car slowly about 1/4 mile home from the accident. The car was in great shape before with no noticeable scratches or dings. The other driver claimed to be at fault at the scene and they both talked to her insurance company. I think he said it was State Farm. My son has USAA.
How is the rear suspension put together on these? Will it be simple replacement of a few components or frame damage? Cut and replace that body panel? If it was the old beater Corolla I could have it pulled out and back on the road in an afternoon, but for a professional shop to get it back to good, I'm thinking this will take some $$$. I don't think that I'll get to see it before it goes to the shop, but he's going to pass along the details.
Post your guesses, I'll add more info when I get it.
Added: Just to make it fun: Closest to the shop invoice $ without going over gets a new (small) GRM sticker in the mail.
Added 8/29/19: The official number is: $4,093.06 which put John Welsh as the closest without going over. He has enough stickers, so next is Ian F with $3999.
$4,000
It will get fixed. No risk of being a total, a 2015 Civic is worth too much. Probably worth $10-$13k
$1,280. Well that's what the insurance will offer. The body shop will say $3-4k and walk away from it.
Wait that's my story. Grrr.
I'm sticking with the ins. offer damn the reality.
I'll bid $1, Bob. What the hell do I know about this stuff anyway???
As always, if you need help, give me a shout.

$3999. Since $4000 was already guessed.
$5280. They'll have to straighten the rear frame rail.

No news yet. My guess is $3,800 repair, not counting rental car.
*Located in Tulsa, Ok area for regional shop pricing.
Rocket bunny the bumper cover onto e-bay?
And seeing that's it a Honda add fart-can.
$3200 the suspension arm should be a straightforward replacement. Want to double check the alignment though, that side could start eating tires if they don't get it right.
$3624.36, including a new wheel and tire.
$2, because i hate it when the motherberkeleyer who guesses $1 ends up winning.

No guess, but I can say, I used Sherrell Paint and Body about 10th and Peoria for my BRZ accident back at the beginning of 2017. They were great to work and did a great job.
