Wow you guys have some berkeleyed up stories. 30-36 hours is likely the longest I've ever experienced (lan parties at age 20 or so) and never wish to do so again. If I tried to drive after being awake that long I'd immediately crash and die.
Now when I travel if I approach 24 hours of being awake I will usually get physically ill with a migraine.
Yeah, leveraging my ADHD hyperfocus I stayed awake for maybe 3 days straight working on my nephew's transforming transformers costume before Christmas one year. No ill effects other than grumpiness at my sister and her friend. Didn't eat, hardly drank water.
20 years ago when some friends went through it it was standard issue to be up the first three days of marine corps boot camp during the initial onboarding phase
