I suppose the rotten apple doesn't fall too far from the horrible, disgusting, unconscionable apple tree.

An adopted son of former Penn State assistant football coach and convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky was arrested Monday on sex-related counts involving a minor. Pennsylvania State Police said Jeffrey Sandusky, 41, was charged with felony counts of statutory sexual assault; involuntary deviate sexual intercourse; photographing, videographing, depicting on a computer or filming sexual acts; unlawful contact with a minor; and sexual abuse of children. He also faces a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors. WTAJ reported that bail was set at $200,000, with the condition that Jeffrey Sandusky is prohibited from having any contact with minors. Jerry Sandusky is serving prison time for his conviction on multiple counts of child sex abuse.

It's sad but true - alcoholics often raise alcoholics, abusers raise abusers, etc. It's extraordinarily difficult to break that kind of cycle, unfortunately.

In reply to Duke: I have pruning shears that will stop that particular cycle pretty quick.

Seems pretty likely. You generally need to learn that stuff from someone.

Adopted son; so it's the genetics vs environment argument all over?

The only bright spot is those guys don't do well in jail. C'ya!

Yeah. I don't know the statistics, but a large number of sexual predators were sexual assault victims first.

Not trying to defend this guy, but just remind everyone that he probably has his own personal demons that are unthinkably horrible, and that we as a country need to end the Rape Culture that we have. I'm happy he's going to jail, but lets all remember that it needs to be discussed, and no one should look the other way.

I'm pretty sure that had been stated during the coverage of his dad's arrest and trial.

So Jeffery Sandusky is 41. Has he already reproduced? Is there already a third generation of child rapist out there?

Will that be a family home that anyone ever will let there kid go play at? "Mom, Dad i'm gonna go over to Johnny Sanduskys house to play in there pool.....". Nope.

Can't say I'm surprised. I'm still disgusted and enraged that the institution that actively hid the father's crimes and enabled them is allowed to profit from a football program again. That program should've been given the death penalty from the NCAA with players allowed to transfer without penalty.

I think I remember the son saying Jerry had molested him. Still doesn't make it right or OK.

Right. Who knows what horrors this guy suffered from Sandusky. Maybe he should be offered the option of assisted suicide in lieu of a trial. If he's not guilty (or if he is guilty and a total sociopath or a coward), he'd opt for the trial. But if he's just a poor bastard whose sexuality was warped by a sick SOB when he was a kid, he'd probably opt for a good final meal, anesthesia, and a lethal injection.

Molester gone in a humane manner...taxpayers off the hook for an expensive trial and incarceration. How is this a bad idea?

Because what if he is guilty, harbors real feelings of remorse, guilt, and sorrow, but doesn't want to die? Not to mention that there would still be an expensive trial (likley moreso) and incarceration prior to the event.
