Job boards are good because that's where the recruiters look as well.

also, your state should have an unemployment board (Mi requires it if collecting unejoyment)
We looked at a lot of people on monster.com where I work and we hired a few.
The only complaint is when I call people they get pissy wanting to know why I am calling. Because YOU have your resume posted on monster.com. Or they say they found a job already. Then take YOUR resume down....
We had a dude all aggravated we called his girlfriend so she pretty much got crossed off the list due to angry boyfriend answering cell phone.
indeed.com is a good job board search engine. It checks monster, careerbuilder, and lots of others. I've posted my resume on a few sites, and I would say definitely post your resume if you are willing to relocate. However, since I didnt want to move , I ended up finding a job through someone I knew. That and I live in a pretty small community. I guess I would say if you're looking seriously go for it. It will only give you more options.
