Anybody else? I don't think there's a more intelligent, logical, thought-provoking political show on TV. Saw a rerun of a show on how College is, for most, a waste of time and money. (Yes, I understand that Doctors need to go to college.) He ended the show with a Frank Zappa quote:

""If you want to get laid, go to college. If you want an education, go to the library."

Awesome.

Not a bad choice given most of the people running (or in office) currently...

Yes, maybe I will give him the 30 or 40 million that would be required to give him some chance. Of course he will have to make sure his views are little more in line with mine, and of course I will need some consideration once he gets elected. (What!?, am I supposed to give him 40 million and get NOTHING out of it?)

Oh, and to make sure he gets elected, we will have to change his stance on a few things to conform with the "common" voter he is going for (e.g. full conservative social stance if he is going for the conservative side). But hey, he can be an independent, people should like that, of course once he gets in office NEITHER party will listen to him.

Ahh politics.... ain't democracy great? It would suck to live in one of those countries with corrupt politics...

Meh. Ron Paul's doing it, and he sounds like a whiney little girl on crank. Take Paul's views and put them into somebody in who's a good, slow, intelligible speaker with a sense of humor, and who doesn't look like they once played as the villain in a Scooby Doo cartoon, and I think a Libertarian's got a shot at the Republican nomination.

Stossel is amusing because he provides people a way to be outraged about the fact they were wrongly outraged. That said-I don't know any of his real views. Him showing that everyone else is stupid is not an indication that he is smart.

I have always liked Stossil's pieces. They usually are backed up with some real facts and presented well. I am not sure that qualifies him to run the joint.

Maybe we should ask him to do a piece on how an intelligent, thoughtful delivery relates to the ability to run an empire!

John Stossil / John Stossil's stache 2012!!!

His views are pretty libertarian with a side of conservative and a dash of common sense.

Have any of yee doubters of the mustache seen his show on FBN? I don't really see how you could be unfamiliar with his views or think he's just "hating on" the current crop of politicians/policies if so. If not, it really is worth watching...unless your eyes, ears, and mind are just completely closed to Libertarian ideas.

I am not a doubter - I am a fan of him as a host and of his views on many things. I'd prefer a guy like Teddy Roosevelt have those same ideas and be available for the job of ass-kicking his way to the top.

Totally agree. Of course, some o Paul's view come off as pretty extreme for most (making getting elected a bit more difficult).

Regarding Stossel on Fox: I was pretty disappointed when he moved over to Fox. The people that watch Fox are generally pretty familiar with Libertarian style views (preaching to the choir). When he was on 20/20 I think he had a much better forum to inform people.

I like John Stossel, but I refuse to watch anything on Fox News so I've never seen his show. I'd vote for a Ron Paul/John Stossel ticket in a heartbeat.

That's a real shame. I understand the refusal to watch Fox News. Fox Business is a little less show and a little more logic. Maybe I just like being angry. I'll watch rachel maddow if I happen to catch her on. Anderson vanderbilt and astrotard sharpton not so much.

Not watching Stossel because he's on a Fox network is kind of like not watching The Car Show because it's on SPEED (and yes, I get the irony that SPEED is a Fox channel also). I watch or don't watch shows based on the show, not the network that carries it. Same way I can like the Cadillac CTS but think the rest of the product line sucks donkey balls.

In general I agree with you....but I make a special exception for Fox News. I do watch other Fox owned channels, and yes I realize that it really doesn't make any sense.

BTW, I don't watch the Car Show because I don't like it...gave up on it after a few episodes, nothing to do with what channel it is on.

I can only take Rachel Maddow in small doses.....I usually find her so smug, smirky, and wrong that it starts out as good entertainment, then I realize that some people believe what she says.

What is it with Americans and their aversion to facial hair? I understand that there are even American companies that require you to be clean shaven as a condition of employment.

These are also the things that elicit rolled eyes from me when someone says the name "John Stewart." That said, he is funny and entertaining, and it was awesome to watch him out-smug the living E36 M3 out of her on her show. It reminded me of that scene from Falling Down when Michael Douglas is in the Army surplus store and the guy is saying "DON'T YOU GET IT? WE'RE THE SAME, YOU AND ME. WE'RE THE SAME!" Uncomfortable!

Try watching Stossel, and maybe even Judge Napolitano some time. Two passionate, smart mofos, very rarely regurgitating rhetoric. I thought Napolitano was going to have a heart attack talking about Michelle Bachman last night.
