They're co-headling a tour right now, and I saw them the other night. I admit, I went more to see Priest. They went on first. Good show but, yeah, they're missing Glenn Tipton. Damn you, Parkinson's.
I figured I'd stay for a Deep Purple song or two and then head home. I didn't do that. Easily one of the best live performances I have ever seen. I know that people miss Ritchie Blackmore, but Steve Morse killed it. My guitar instructor is pretty critical of other players, and we'll often dissect their playing. Steve Morse? One of the best. Better than Jimmy Page? Yes, he says.
Not my video, but this is how the show started--fast right out of the gate.
Their music is ageless! Many great memories are brought back every time I hear them play. Would love to see them live.
"Living Wreck" is a mess of a song. A glorious mess.

I mowed the lawn so many times as a kid with Made In Japan on my walkman.

I’ve got tix to see them Monday night, but I’ve been trying to sell them & I’m not sure I’ll go regardless. I just don’t care for big shows much.
It is a shame that people only know DP for Smoke on the Water. They have many other good songs!
I want to see them live one day, they never seem to come near me.
Morse is a good guitarist, very technically gifted

You should go. I will say, the crowd for this show was very well behaved.
