Why not send some south, Wally? We haven't seen more than an inch or two down here in a long time. Stupid global warming.

I do not recall the last time he didn't see his shadow. Do you think it has something to do with all the lights for the cameras?

Ol' Phil might have seen his shadow, but I'll tell you he hasn't seen his feet or his penis in a long time...He looks like he hasn't missed a meal in a while.

Don't worry Jensen, that was one of them thar Yankee Groundhogs. You're fine.

General Beauragard Lee, the southern predictor says early spring.

I don't know what the Canadian status is, they have like 4 groundhogs, and I don't know what the one for the midwest is so I have no idea what Colorado is in store for.

You can tell he is a Yankee Groundhog because he wasn't on a plate with gravy and a side grits

But I love Groundhog Day, because it gives my wife a solid 24 hours' worth of material with "Gobbler's Knob" jokes...

Phil is a crappy weatherman. He's only been right 39% of the time. You'd be better off throwing darts at a board. Or a groundhog.

He predicted an early spring 14 out of 112 times.

Yeah he's a gobsnobbler from Gobblers Knob.

Why is it I expect someday they are going to be dragging that fat rat out of its hole and someone is going to pick it off with a varmint rifle during a broadcast?

with his innacuracy, rate, i just go with the opposite of his "perdiction". With how nice it has been been since sunday, 35-40, sunny, i can beleave it. Or i can at least enjoy the respite from running the snow blower

All of which underscores General Lee's superiority to Phil. See, if his prediction rate dropped to 14 out of 112, he would be dinner.

He's better motivated to get it right, and you yankees think we're backwards. I bet if Phil was wrong and ended up as an entree, his replacement would be a little sharper.
