Check the listings of your local PBS television station for Ken Burns' latest documentary on the Mayo Clinic. I'm watching it now, but I'm sure it will be repeated.
As someone who's been getting treatment there for the last couple years it's of particular interest to me (I just saw one of my doctors on the show, one of these days I'll elaborate more on my health issues) but it is a very good documentary.
I will watch it. I took my mother there 20 or so years ago, and was fascinated by several different parts of the story.
If nothing else, the different architecture of the buildings is super cool, and that is a very minor part of the story.

My cousin lived way longer than she ever should have thanks to Mayo. She was the oldest living person with her specific heart defect, thanks to the treatment she got at Mayo as a toddler. She passed away at 39 and the specific treatment she got has long been modified, but it was Mayo that figured out how to keep her alive. My cousin was pretty much a living guinea pig her whole life, but between what they did at Mayo and what the doctors at Emory learned from her, the next kids with that certain heart defect will live even longer.

Saw Ken Burns, read Ken Block. I was a little confused for a second.
I'll have to watch for the documentary, Ken makes great ones. Burns. Actually both make great movies.
