It feels crazy to me this year.   

Why does the TV coverage of a two minute horse race need to last four and a half hours?

If they expect people to devote that much time to this thing, here are some suggestions:

• Undercards and entrance music, like boxing/MMA
• Flyover, and it better be epic on the level of Doc and Fifi flying wing on a B-2
• Spectator drags--let volunteers from the stands run the track, preferably in fancy hats
• Pro wrestling-style trash talk from the jockeys
• Celebrity race in Toyota Celicas
• Invert the field halfway through
• "Name the horses" online contest
• Wild card race to get the last starting spot
• Sprint cars
• Horses get a 15-second headstart over a pride of lions
• Whatever the hell is going on here
• Allow different species to compete. If you're brave/small enough to ride a cheetah, go for it.

Zero berkeleys to give

I live out side of Louisville and give absolutely zero E36 M3s about the derby. I was out in the drive way pressure washing an engine during the race.

KY Derby? How do the jockeys stay on with all that lube?

I like the Kentucky derby. Won $60 on the race too.

I love it. Big horse racing fan. My big problem with it is all the "tourists" who come into the OTB to bet. Hold up the lines because they have no clue what they're doing. 

I didn't have anything pan out for me this year. Almost had my  superfecta, but that 4 horse was a nobody who surprised me. I think I might have broken even though, because when I placed my bets on Friday I had a trifecta pay off in a harness race, and got WPS on the Oaks.

I lose interest in the Kentucky Derby years ago when the Officals didn't approved of the Aero Mods made to the Horse and the Shoes were chemically altered for better side grip in the turns.
