Funny. Wonder how long they stayed. I'm guessing they took off that night while the traffic was light. My boss has a small plane that he flies out of the Chicago area. I'll send the link to him, but I bet he's already seen it.

Where is the video of them taking off?

Yeah, I was sort of wishing I could have heard all the ATC traffic from the aircraft sequenced behind them - I have a feeling some were not amused....

Maybe they got a visit from all the big rig pilots and need to get out of hospital before they can take off. Either that or this happened in the jet blast and they haven't found it yet

Depending on the plane and pilot, it is possible to successfully hover and fly backwards in high winds.
