So, took the wife out to see this movie on a cheap date night. Town was showing it for free at the park. That always makes for a good date! Who knew it was that good and funny? Almost worthy of Mel Brooks with all the one liners, lampooning and slap stick. See it and you'll never take batman seriously again.
That movie is soooo "Awesome" !

I'm watching it right now with my 2 year old. He thinks it's hilarious because of exploding legos- I can't stop laughing because of all the subliminal jokes. Combine that with the leagues of cameos, the HILARITY of Batman (DARKNESS! NO PARENTS!) and all of the cool old legos (80's space guy was my jam then as now) and it's one of my favorites. I'm very glad I purchased it. Plus you can tell Morgan Freeman had a helluva good time reading his lines. You can just hear it in his inflection. Seems like everyone did. I can even almost tolerate Will Ferrell!
We bought it......for the kids.
Loved it. Own it on DVD. Don't have kids.
Batman's a real artist. DARKNESS. NO PARENTS. STILL DARK.
Interesting footnote, in the late 80s there was a band called The Lightning Seeds whose only US chart hit came from an album titled CloudCuckooLand. I wonder if there's a connection?

Also, it drives my kid nuts when I sing everything is awesome. So I do it a lot. Like, a lot a lot.
I thought it was great. Wife didnt, thought it was juvenile. Well it IS a kids movie.
No kids here so I sing the everything is awesome song to annoy my wife.
There have also been threats to add it to her phone as a ringtone
Watched it last night with my kids, though it's plenty enjoyable for all ages. Definitely a solid movie, especially since I figured it would be a terrible two hour lego commercial when it was first announced.
I plan on buying it when the price drops a bit. We saw it in the theater and at the price we paid, we decided we won't be seeing movies in the theater for a while.
Lyrics to the Batman song, I

All they did was play space checkers. Plus the furry one? Dude. And the robot? Dude. They're all dudes.
in the summer our local megaplex theater has a movie for $1 every tues morning (10am)... or for $5 you can see 10 of them... I think the lego movie is next week... I'm super looking forward to it :)
saw it in the theater a while back, son got it on DVD as a gift... and yes we'll go see it again in the theater again ($1.50 for the three of us why not ;-)
Funniest kid-friendly movie I've ever seen!
Man, I laughed harder at that ridiculous movie than I have at anything in a long time.
My little nieces and nephew dragged me out to see it, with absolutely no protest on my part. I then had to force my wife to watch it, she loved it.
Although she just admitted to being President Business. She loves Kragl. Lego is not to be taken apart. This may end our marriage.

It reminded me of the original "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In". Throw crap on the wall and see if it sticks. If not, throw more crap.

lol the movie has been good for my 9y/o son in this regard... before the movie he would take build it, take it apart and rebuild it again and leave the built legos on his shelves... if he ran out of space he'd take it apart and put it in a ziplock bags so he wouldn't have to dig though my old collection/tub to re-re-rebuild it again. since the movie he's gone to extremes and just tossed everything into the bucket and made some fun stuff :)
