That's a quality band name right there.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
one of my favorite band names but not their music really:
Screaming Cheetah Wheelies
and my own band name from back in the day:
Dick Cheney and the Pacemakers
Punk/hardcore scene either had really short or really long names. Did a side project for one of the bands called theindierockrecoveryproject (one word, specific font) and it was almost so small to be unreadable on flyers. Mission accomplished. I occasionally perform as Indiero Ckreovery as well
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever
Trampled by Turtles
Elvis Costello and The Imposters
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
The Naked and Famous
Better Oblivion Community Center
Superorganism
The Tallest Man on Earth
Old Crow Medicine Show
The Velvet Underground and Nico
Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention
Elvis Costello and the Attractions
Lyle Lovett and his Large Band
Longest I found in a short internet rabbit holing.
The Rock and Roll Dubble Bubble Trading Card Co of Philadelphia 19141
Honorable mention for name expansion from one of the shortest to one of the longest:
Yes. The main members had a dispute with others who had cycled through the band as to which group had the rights to the name. They released some albums under their own four surnames: Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe.
I'm going to be contrary and say that compound band names such as "[Person's Name] and the [Band Name]" don't count unless one name is sufficiently long. Same thing with bands that are a string of names (e.g. "Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young")
That's not one long name. That's several medium or short names strung together.
(This does not apply to bands that just happen to have "and" in the name such as King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, where they are really a single unit. There is no "King Gizzard" who could split off for a solo project.)
Echo and the Bunnymen - (Following my earlier comment, there is no "Echo". That's just the full name of the band.)
A Tribe Called Quest
NWA (if you spell it out; which I won't do here)
My band name:
Free Beer 'Til Midnight
If I started an Electronic Dance Music act it'd be named Epic P#ssy Slayer.
Big Head Todd and the Monsters
and fake but semi long and funny from Clerks
berkeleying Yankee Blue Jeans
lead singer is Olaf. "Olaf, show her your metal face"
