i just needed a little confirmation of how i was already going.
i'm telling homeowner that he needs to deal with it, and all i'm there to do is finish the job. all we did was take the tools from house to garage, put them neatly on the workbench, and take pictures of everything.
i don't need to get involved beyond doing what i am contracted to do and collecting for it. last night when he told us to take everything i felt weird then felt weirder in the morning which is why i posted.
the homeowner is not the one who found us, we have worked with his realtor's other clients in the past. all i have to go on is that the guy claims he paid in full up front in cash and the guy has been in the house since july and has claimed to be at the job working the last few days, which i know is a lie because we've been there.
i obviously do not want anyone putting my tools out on the treelawn, however i also don't go around screwing people over and leaving my stuff somewhere that i have not been to in at least a month.
just because the other guy is a crook who gives the rest of us a bad name doesn't mean i need to be one too.
and we have been paid a deposit and our terms are balance upon completion of our contract.
Wipe your fingerprints off the tools before you go. You know, just in case one is used in a murder or something.
