Lost a local car guy over the weekend. He and his wife are just the nicest people, Gayle is the only person I have ever met who may be as nice a person as my mother. Great kids, built an Turbo Exocet type deal with his son, whole family into the autocross scene, officer in the local SCCA, just retired from his optometry gig like 6 months ago. Kindest, most giving sort of guy you ever met.
Killed in shark attack in Hawaii, can you believe that scheisse?
Smiley Shark Attack
Sorry to hear it; what a strange way to go.
Sad news.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
Wow, I happened to hear/see this story on the national news just last night. I'm not sure which channel but one of the major, non-cable brands.
So sorry to hear.
It sucks for those who knew him and those who loved him, but that's exactly the style I'd like to go out. On vacation, in paradise by an alpha predator while enjoying and admiring their habitat. No worrying about having to pack up to go home, no post vacation hangover. Just going out on top of having an amazing time. I apologize if this comes off as insensitive, as I don't intend it to be so as it's truly horrific for his family to have to deal with.

Wow, I was wondering why that story was all over my google news feed. But now that I see the grm connection it makes sense.
Damn that sucks.
