Anybody else here watched it? I gotta admit, I like Rut better in this setting than in 'Top Gear'. And he better not show up in my n'hood with that bread van; he'll be sleeping with the fishes and I'll have a new tow rig.

i want to but will have to catch it on netflix or on demand, my tv schedule is pretty booked until the nba playoffs are over. it looks promising from promos.

It's a bit like the English car rescue style show. It of course has some unnecessary "reality" aspects, but not too bad. Rut is pretty good and clearly has an interesting (and appropriate for this board) taste in cars.

The big ding I would give it against the English show is they don't appear to show any of the actual work done on the cars, so no learning opportunities. The English show is very good about that, and even that Graveyard Cars show (which has some HORRIBLE reality elements) has had some pretty interesting factual content (recently had to go to work and I actually waited to finish watching a segment on matching new paint to original paint).

I'm with "aircooled" on this. It could be better but they went total entertainment instead of a balance between that and how the build/rebuild was done.

I hope there's nothing lost in my transmission -- doesn't bode well for the gear life if there is!

Yeah, it's a bit lacking in detail but does show promise. George busts Rut's chops as bad as my buds bust mine.

Didn't the English show aka Car SOS get cancelled already?

I assumed he was talking about Wheeler Dealers, which I do enjoy but have stopped watching because it feels like the same show over and over again.

I like it. It's better than 90% of the car reality shows.

Plus I like Rut. He's kinda goofy like me.

I'd like to see them drop the "race track testing" silliness and fill that time with some info on the actual build. The Subaru golf cart would have been nice to see in more detail. I like Rutledge and don't mind his buddy. I'll keep watching for now.
