And it's not the same as the F1 team.
It appears that Lotus Engineering + Cosworth Engineering are sponsoring an Indy car- using the classic Lotus logo.
Which is different than the Lotus Cars + Cosworth Racing that's currently in F1.
Although, both do run the green with yellow stripe and both are currently languishing at the back of the grid.
It's interesting how both Lotus and Cosworth broke up into two companies and both are back in racing.
Thoughts?

In reply to alfadriver:
The IRL car is entered by KV Racing, a team co-owned by Kevin Kalkhoven and Jimmy Vasser. Not coincidentally, Kalkhoven is also co-owner of Cosworth Technology; no direct affiliation to Cosworth Racing. It's an attractive-liveried car with loose ties to history.
The current Lotus F1 team has no ties to the original team. Lotus Cars is owned by Proton, but originally planned legal action to dis-associate iteself from the the F1 team. Seems some "special attention" from the Malayasian government may have changed their mind. Like its' IRL counterpart, it has the name and colors but not the provenance.
It's highly doubtful the principles in either project honestly claim any affiliation to the legacy of Chapman's efforts.
But, the cars do look pretty, don't they?

To make this thread easier, I hotlinked an image of the livery. I find it appealing.

Pretty paint, but IMO it's just the Marketing Guys trying to use a "brand name" just to sell more BMW E36.
The "Black & Decker" drill and yard trimmer I recently bought were both manufactured in China. The drill ain't so bad, but I can already tell the trimmer's not going to last more than a year or so.
