I just got home from Lowes and they are having a big sale on their Kobalt sockets and ratchets, as well as air tools. They are advertising 40% of the sockets in store, but the prices were actually 60% off. Air tools had varying discounts. I got a 1/2" impact wrench for $11, and there was an air chisel kit for dirt cheap but my store was sold out. They were also sold out of impact sockets, but had a good selection. Other air tools were not discounted quite as much but were still on sale.

The store I went to was in Windsor, ON. I don't know if it's just this store, just Canadian stores, or stores in the US too, but I wanted to let everyone know in case you needed some tools or Christmas presents or something.

They had a two-pack of Bosch 4.5 inch angle grinders for $80. I was so. berkeleying. tempted. I dunno why I'd need another two when my Makita has held out for a decade, but it seemed like a nice deal.

Years ago when they were changing suppliers on the Kobalt hand tools they had a HUGE clearance sale. The old tools were made by Williams (parent company to Snap-On) and the new supplier was Danaher tools. I bought just about everything they had. The wrenches were exactly the same as my Snap-On stuff except for the name on it, for $.75 - $2.00 a piece depending on size.

Saw that a few months ago and was tempted but didnt have the money at the time. If I see it again Im going for it. When Im doing alot of fab work it would be great not to have to switch between a flap disk and a cutting disk and just have one dedicated grinder for each.

My name is Jim and Im a tool whore....
