My coworker talked me into going with him to Troy, Ohio Saturday so he can look at an S60R. If he buys he needs me to drive his rental back etc. Does anyone have a recommendation for a lunch stop while I'm in the area?

It’s been a couple of years since I ate there but Dunaways is an Irish pub that always had good food.
Back when I used to go to the Honda training center in Troy, we would go to Buffalo Jacks at least one night. They have various game meats that rotate. Rattle snake, bear, elk, stuff like that in addition to buffalo and your chicken/beef/pork stuff. If I remember correctly the menu varied based on what was in season. It wasnt in troy but about 10 minutes or so west of the training center by the interstate.

I don't think they want to ruin the upholstery in a car they just bought.
Years back I did a lot of business travel and some was to Dayton/Cincinnati. Sadly, not much for unique food comes to mind but here are some recommendations:
A local spectacle you'll pass near, Jungle Jim's. In simplified terms it is a grocery store, but unlike others and carries many things you'll recognize and many you wont find elsewhere. While there buy some Goetta if you want something completley unique to Cincinnati.
You'll pass right by Ikea at the north end of Cincinnati metro. They are in big cities only (and building more) but there is not one in Kentucky. It is not uncommon for people to drive 300 miles just to get to one. They have a restaurant (that mostly serves Swedish Meatballs.) Furniture/housewares might not be your thing but they have a ton of it and different than you'll find most anywhere else.
Also unique and right off I-75 is Trader's World. Billed as a shopping safari. There will be carnny-food there! Easy to find directly across the expressway from the former location of Touchdown Jesus (aka Big Butter Jesus). After Touchdown Jesus was struck by lightning and burnt to the ground (oh, the irony) he was later replaced by "missed it by that much" Jesus.
The song paying homage to Big Butter Jesus
A unique restaurant that comes to mind is Pappadeaux's Seafood Kitchen (pronounced: Pappa-dough). This is a Houston, TX take on New Orleans food. I think it is the only location outside of Texas and the southwest for this chain.
When I last drove through Ohio some friends took me to "bd’s Mongolian Grill" which is in/near Dayton. Basically, you get a bowl, pile it high with whatever meats and vegetables you want, and then go over to a giant round grill, where one of the cooks will grill it up for you and add whatever sauces you want. I filled my bowl with seafood and meatballs. (It sounds weird when I word it that way...)
In reply to gearheadmb :
This is a solid suggestion but I think the other guy wants to be back home in Russellville, Kentucky before dark if we can manage it. So I imagine our only real stops are gonna be gas and food.
I'm 100% down with rallycrossing a rental Versa though.
