Made in the US jeans.

Are there any jeans that are made in the US that are affordable? I found some Levi's but they were about $180.

Yes, but you have to completely disregard what you look like when you're wearing them.

I'm glad you started this thread.

For years, I would buy nothing but Levi's. But the quality over the past few years has gotten so poor that I'm ready to cut the cord. The fabric is incredibly thin.

lucky was but they outsourced just a few years ago

I believe Levi's are made in Tennessee but as you noticed you will pay

Luckys were a flat $100 per pair and made in the USA now they are $80 and outsourced.

I don't think I have ever spent over $20 on a pair of jeans and the $180 on the Made in US line from Levi's is a little bit of a sticker shock.

The thing that sucks about those online things is that ordering pants online always worries since no two companies pairs of jeans fit the same.

Most of the Levis I find are made in the Dominican Republic or somewhere in South America.

7 for all mankind are US made. Mine didn't cost me that much. If you want sticker shock look at something like True Religion. $300 for a pair of jeans isn't going to happen. Ever.

You also look like an old man wearing that stuff. Which is fine in the right setting, but I wouldn't wear them if I were going out.

I actually started buying Harley-Davidson jeans...used to wear Levi 560s. They are still thick and wear well...fit well.

I buy my jeans at thrift stores.

My Costco jeans that I bought here in Canada are Canadian made. Maybe Costco's US jeans are US made? $13.95 And my ass looks terrific

Warning warning hipster content inside American Apparel has jeans for $85, but I think that they just started selling them (aka, I don't know how established their design is). Their plain cotton T-shirts are the best though. More expensive than other brands, but the fabric, fit, and color are all a huge step above any other brands that I have worn.

a few weeks ago, i bought the most expensive jeans i've ever owned- some $37 Levis.. i didn't even look where they were made because i know none of the pants in my price range are going to be made in the USA. so far, they seem to be holding up at least as well as the $15 Wranglers i normally get at WalMart..

I was sure my wranglers would be "Made in USA".... alas, I was wrong (Mexico).

I got a Made in USA pair of Agave's (heavily discounted) from Sierra Trading Post earlier this year. Would never pay the full asking price for them, though.

I usually buy Levi's and haven't owned a pair MADE in the U.S. in years. The clothing manufacturers are getting kind of sneaky nowadays and are ASSEMBLING their clothes in the U.S. And, unfortunately, ASSEMBLING can mean just about anything from sewing the little red tag on the back pocket to getting the jeans cut from patterns in the Dominican Republic and doing the stitching of the various pieces in the U.S.

When I bought 501s in the early '80s, they were LESS than $20 at some stores. I can't fit into 501s anymore, but if I was still buying them they would be between $50 and $70 depending on the store. Makes you wonder what they might cost WITHOUT the "3rd world" labor involvement.

I've been meaning to purchase some raw selvedge, but there are no places locally that I'm aware of to test fit such exotic jeans. Any suggestions?
