I've been meaning to purchase some raw selvedge, but there are no places locally that I'm aware of to test fit such exotic jeans. Any suggestions?

Levi's makes some, looking at their website they're US made and $178 a pop. I got mine online at a place that custom makes them (gave them dimensions of a favorite pair), they were like $90.

When I started buying them, they were $7.50. I've basically never had anything but Levi's since until the last year.

The last pair I bought literally started falling apart after a couple washes.

I'm at work, but I'm looking through my email now to see if I can find an invoice.

This is the truth. I have a pair of A.P.C. jeans from This Site. Someday I will buy a good pair of Japanese selvage denim (when I lose weight and settle on a size). You will be amazed how awesome (and durable) they are.

Urban Outfitters has some for cheap, I haven't tried them but have been thinking about getting a pair, probably made in China though (Link).

As for size, I just searched around this site (http://supertalk.superfuture.com/index.php?/forum/22-superdenim/) and compared reviews and fit with my measurements and the first pair I ordered online fit perfect.

Here's some cheap jeans made in Texas. I haven't heard about quality though. http://www.texasjeansusa.com/shop_USA_Made.html

I have a pair of RRL Japanese selvedge raw denim jeans that I wore at least 3x a week for about 2 years. They've broken in fantasically and the honeycomb and wear is beautiful, but the crotch has blown out and I've gotten bigger due to working out and I need another pair. Cost me $75 shipped online. Thing about RRL is that you can't go by the tag size, you have to go by the measurements and even then, they stretch so you have to size down if you want it to fit a certain way. Hard to shop for since I have big thighs and calves and don't like skinny jeans. Prob why I'm still wearing jeans with a hole in the crotch as I type this.

Levis sends me 40% off coupons pretty regularly, don't know if I want to try their top of the line jeans or not.

The only $100+ pairs of pants I own were designed to keep my skin in-tact in a motorcycle crash or buy me a few seconds to get out of a race car before the flames consume me.

Pants are a $30 item at Sears. You guys are nuts.

I am mostly an Old Navy man myself. It allows me the illusion that I am still young and cool without having to forgo relaxed fit jeans.

Good lord, please tell me you guys aren't wearing bedazzled jeans and Affliction t-shirts. $100 jeans aren't cool in your 20's jeans. They are Jersey Shore jeans.

Haha. No. None of the above. I'm not Italian and don't have blow out either. I don't like that jeans I wear are expensive, but that's what it takes to get jeans I like. I'm not a fan of the cut of cheap jeans and I don't like clothes that don't last.

Well, Harbor Freight doesn't sell them yet. Seriously - Sears has Carhart, Wrangler, Levi's and Hanes. WTF else does a man need? Where else can you get a 10mm socket, a pack of black tees, cargo pants and a coffee maker?

I'm pretty sure that damn near everything sold by Duluth Trading Co. is made in the U.S., and they sell their own branded jeans for ~$50/pair. I've got a few things of theirs and happy with all of it.

My favorite jeans ever were the American Eagle Low Rise Slim Boots...

They don't make them anymore. Probably made in china anyways.

I've been buying them off of Ebay.

Mine might have been, too... no idea. I only have two pairs left at home i think, neither are work appropriate anymore.

I'm wearing Hollister something or other right now and i HATE them.

I only remember because the girl who told me they looked good was Colombian. I shouldn't have worn holes in them, but since they were my cheapest pair of jeans at the time, that was their fate.

I LIVE in Luckys. I've managed to destroy everything anyone else can throw at me (you name it, I have a totalled in less than 3 months pair in my closet) and The Luckys just hold up, and they fit awesome to me. I'd be hard pressed to find a pair I like better, regardless of the price or place of manufacture. Even the Chinese ones or wherever the hell they're from (I'm not taking this pair off at work... the ol' ladies in the cubes next to me might get pissed) seem to hold up well.... and when I get dirt or grease on em and it won't wash out... I can claim it was a limited edition pair or something and all the chicks swoon.

Three figure jeans are nuts.

After a couple decades of Levi's 505's I had to switch. If Levi's kept making them the way they used to they would still be in my closet. First it was cutting back on the number of belt loops. Not sure what happened next or if it was at the same time. Thinner material and manufactured in various countries, but not here. The denim would tear easily, shrink even washed cold and air dry, and sizing was a guess at best. Could try three of the same model and size. All would be different.

Switched to Carhart about 2 years ago and haven't looked back. Don't know where they are made but the quality (both materials and control) has been good.
