Oh yeah, a huge thanks to whoever posted something on the board about that Florida Iron Maiden show. What an amazing concert. As promised, it was totally an old school set. They opened with Aces High and closed with Sanctuary. They said to look for a new studio album soon followed by another tour in 2011.

Saw them last year in Irvine, CA. Totally awesome show. Even the wife was impressed with the stage show. What I thought was cool was half the crowd were old farts like me who listened to them in high school in the early 80s and the other half were kids still in school. Infact the kid in the seat next to me was there with his mom, who read a book with her earplugs in the whole show!

I know. Not a snoozer on the list. By the way, Run to the Hills live was awesome. Heck, the whole show was. I figure I spent about $175 total between tickets, gas and parking. (Michele paid for dinner at Denny's.)

It was worth it.

I'm considering going to see Lamb of God at the Tabernacle later in the month.

Damnit... the maiden site is blocked here... >:(

While they are my favorite band, I haven't seen them live in years (Seventh Son tour).

I have to admit, tho... as much as I'd like the old stuff, my current "go-to" CD is Dance of Death and I would have been dissappointed with that set.

The old stuff was/is great and really made a nice show. Still, I'd love to see them do some material from Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death. You know, I don't have Dances of Death. I guess I need it, huh?

And cool Maiden site: http://maidenfans.com/imc/

Are you kidding? It's (IMNSHO) their best album since Seventh Son. I've basically had it in continuous rotation since it was released in (I think) 2003.

Last time I checked, you two were still married, so it's all the same pot. You need to take that girl on a vacation.

That's all well & good when your wife is into cars. Otherwise, "My pot, your pot, and the pot that pays the mortgage" works better.

I just read about you going to the show in the new GRM. I saw them last March in NJ. Couldn't understand the inclusion of "Fear of the Dark" in an all 80s Maiden show, but who cares! I saw them first on the Brave New World tour. Arguably my favorite (studio) Maiden album.

P.S. Old school metal fans will really dig a band called "Black Tide". Kind of like Randy Rhoads meets Dave Mustaine. Really. And check out this!
