Dude, I've seen people almost have a heart attack when I drive "spiritedly" at like 5 tenths. My co-worker got nervous when I revved the Fusion with its glorious v6 to 5k in 2nd gear (and it has almost a 7500rpm redline). People are retarded.

I have half a brain, but I don't have much time. This makes it hard to locate non-crap media and do the sifting. (This actually reminds me of something I heard recently about how Google et al also tailor your search results, which can lead to telling you what you want to hear, but that's another can of worms...)
Do keep in mind that the thing I was pondering was not overall state control, but the particular notion of equal time for opposing views, and even that I have to agree at this point couldn't be taken up without creating a lot more problems than it could hope of solving.

quality of news media is directly proportional to how much they think they are on their viewers' $#!7- list.
If they don't have a reading on that barometer, then the news media we get is basically the descretion of a news manager who's job is to sell advertising time.

I don't see the distinction... Unless you're suggesting that it can be made clear to a media outlet that we think they suck even if their ratings are great. I just don't see them altering their recipe while the ads are selling.

LOL OK I will fight the charges and get convicted anyway. That way the state can pay for a lenghty court case AND medical.

Some people are just like that. I've seen men and women that can't function after a minor fender bender. I'm always amazed at how soft some people are.
