I'm watching. Started with the NASA live feed, but got tired of the commentary. Now watching the clean view.

I am, but I think I have the wrong video feed...
I'm watching from work but Youtube is blocked so I have to watch the NASA live feed on Facebook.

They pulled it off, images coming in now! Cool!
I do kind of miss the old days when everyone in Mission Control were wearing white short sleeve shirts, narrow ties, and horn rim glasses.
Yay! we've already got images! Go NASA & JPL!
I can't imagine how hard it would be to be in the control room- by the time they got the signal that the chutes deployed, the landing had already happened. If there are any issues, nothing can be done.

I managed to catch the last 10-15 minutes at work. I have two NASA friends, one works at JPL in California. He's been working on this project for awhile & I tried to talk him into slapping an Imperial logo decal on it. Not sure he ever did, even though he's almost as big a Star Wars fan as me.

There is a pretty good show on the construction of Perseverance. I think it was on Smithsonian channel. It even caught my 14 y.o.'s attention who is just now finding out he likes mechanical things as much as computers. He stopped in his tracks and sat down on the couch to watch when he heard them say the steering motors were a million dollars a piece.
