Every year on MLK day I set aside time to read Letter from a Birmingham Jail:

==================================

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Never again can we afford to live with the narrow, provincial "outside agitator" idea. Anyone who lives inside the United States can never be considered an outsider anywhere within its bounds.

Thank you for posting this, and especially for the link to the letter, which I re-read for the first time in nearly 40 years.

It seems particularly relevant today, both in the "today" of our time in history, and on this inaugural day.

Agreed. Thank you for posting this. I ashamed to say that I've never read it before, or even knew that it existed. He must have been an incredible speaker to hear. The passion and conviction is obvious throughout that letter.
