(First off, it makes me feel really old that there's such a thing as a classic Acura. Then again, I am old!)
So I have an Internet friend who lives up in WA. She's one of the least car-savvy people you'll meet. She bought a 1990 Acura Integra LS sedan w/5-speed brand new in 1989. At a mere 113k miles, there's nothing really wrong with it, but her age is making it difficult to clutch and "get in and out of such a low car". Book value is squat (and meaningless on a 25-year-old car) but she's afraid she'll get essentially nothing in trade.
So I open my big yap and offer her $2500. Now I have to stick to my word, because I'm like that. I also get to fly up to WA and drive it back to Vegas. Well, it's an adventure, if nothing else!
I figure, if it's as good as she says, I'll keep it and sell the Scion while the miles are still under 100k. Whenever I decide to buy a new car, I can probably sell the Acura for close to what I have in it.
Me and my big mouth!

edit: I need to pay more attention to words like "Integra"
That sounds like a terrible predicament you've got yourself in. I'd hate to have to drive a well kept integra. They are no fun! Boring even! ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

I would say "old Acura content" instead of "classic Acura content", but it sounds like a fun adventure. Take and post at least some pics from the trip.

Well, under Nevada (and many other states') law, it can legally be registered as a classic, so there ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
I finally parted with my '01 Integra LS (<100,000 mi) last yr … 3dr HATCHBACK ( LOL ) sold to the first person that looked at it ( $6k) guess I should have asked a bit more …
if her's is the 5 dr and an additional 11 yrs older , then maybe not worth quite as much (or is that my inner car guy coming out) … but if in good shape it should be fine for $2500

Classic Acura:

What you have is a "New" Acura.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
$2500 is a good price for one of those. It was my favorite generation of integra. I would love to have my 92 GSR back.

Second generation Integras would have been great cars had it not been for those stupid motorized seat belts.

Oh. The 1990 model is going to have those? Ick. Well, it might pass through my hands pretty quickly then.
I've gotten the CarFax from the seller. This is truly a one-owner car, and it's gotten 99% of its service at Acura of Bellevue. Apparently, there are people who take 25-year-old cars to the dealer for service.
Timing belt and cam seals at 103k. I think this car might make for not only an adventure, but a quick flip.
There is someone out there that has that as a dream car. Find them and make their dreams come true.
If its not a rusted bucket of crap, you will love it.
Truth be told I would love to have that car to put up for another 20 years and drive on weekends, no I don't have the cash to buy it and it is on the other side of the country, but if it's as well maintained as it sounds it could be very nice.
Go to BC and get the Canadian seat belt assembly. It's a straight bolt in that only takes a couple hours if you are slow. Get the trim too if you want the complete look.
