Our last dog Rufus died about 8 years and once in a while we think/talk about another, but that usually goes away. Our son has a quiet well behaved Black Lab trapped in an 8 lb. body, so the talk intensifies after a visit.
A puppy came up for grabs and Ian told me and one thing led to another and I didn't tell Mrs. 914 and, well; here we are. Puppied.
Mom is a Chihuahua, Dad is a Chihuahua/Dachshund. She should be about 12 lbs. all dressed out. Should be fun.

Stella is on the right, Ian's dog Bodhi is on the left. This is the only photo I have for now. We went to the Burger Bar & Bistro in Norwalk, CT after Ian and his wife ran a half marathon.
The owner was miffed that he couldn't bring his dog into a restaurant so he opened his own. It has a doggie menu, dogs are welcome and they get a free bone with every visit. (uncooked beef shank)

We need pictures! Congrats
A half chiweenie, awesome. I've got a black lab/basset hound mix. I love me some mixed breed dogs.
Sorry, Mr. Flashy Fingers hit Add Post by mistake. You will see Stella again (then called Elway) in the puppy bowl at the super bowl. We couldn't take delivery because they were filming.
You should have name her Amy. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
I hope you know what you're in for. My wife a had a chi-weinnie for a while, and it was the most hateful thing ever. The story that was given to me was that his original family was deported, but he had pappers, so he could stay. I can't tell you how many times he bit me in the six months that he stayed with us. I called him Perro Diablo, Chupacabra or Poco Bastardo. He lives with one of my wife's relatives now, and he still growls at me if I even walk down her street.
I hope your Chi-weinnie experience is better than mine.
So far, none of the above. Bodhi is of questionable lineage but doesn't bark, nip or be mean;
except toward little kids. Something happened to him once....

Cool, pup! I have 2 chi's one hates everyone and will kill on sight. The other is a snugglebunny. You just never know with any animal. You got her young, you'll make her experience and she'll be fine. :)
And I will say this the one that I say "hates everyone" would without hesitation throw himself in front of a rottweiler to protect my wife. They are loyal and fearless little beasties.
