Love the gesture.
Even this old ex-sailor (teenaged kid, NC OBX, Sunfish) recalls feeling that way about some of the folks on the Committee Boat. "DAMMIT, YOU BLIND (incestuous male), I WAS ON THE STARBOARD TACK!!!"

Scott, I don't quite agree with Mr. Sperlo..but I have to admit, ya look like the stereotypical 7-series guy. Of course, we know you're not because you're here with your fellow inmates!

That's a great pic. As a token of thanks, here's me & SWMBO (and her son from a previous relationship) chilling out in Helen, GA. I can tell the pic's 4yrs old because I'm still wearing my old glasses.
A couple of months ago in Monterey. I took this bad boy around Laguna Seca. Mind you, it was only four laps Then spent the rest of the day driving those gorgeous hilly roads.

I forgot I had this shot, from when we were disassembling a friends MSP. It starting getting low compression, pulled the turbo, it was shot, pulled the crank, bearings were shot, so out it came. New slugs and rods and turbos oh my!
I have to say, I'm fairly proud of the beard and the hair. the demonstration of the wheelgap was a moment of inspiration.
As far as I know this is the only picture of me online. The whiskers are usually a fall/winter thing. Just ditched them this week.
Oh, the drag radials on the Barracuda are on another pair of Cragars now too. That happened today.
Here I am judging at LeMons NJMP a few weeks ago, I'm on the left, eating a sandwich pilfered from a team as a penalty

Please tell me it was only supposed to be two but you just "didn't notice" that black flag.

Ah, foredeck, the bow of the boat, where the real men are, Adventure-land.
...Or, at the back of the boat Fantasy-land, where everything should be easy ("why isn't that kite up yet") and all the positions come with a seat.
...Or, the middle of the boat Wonder-land where the inhabitants say things like, "I wonder what they are doing on the bow?" "I wonder what they are doing in the back?"
The bow: what else can you do with the skinny small guys?
As my "rock star" bowman always likes to remind us, " no matter what, I will still cross the start line and finish line before you guys in the back of the boat!"
